Who Should Attend
Registered Nurses who plan to take Maternal- Newborn Certification exam. This course is an excellent review for the novice, as well as the seasoned Maternal-Newborn RN seeking for a comprehensive review.
Presented in lecture format, this course reviews topics for the Maternal Newborn Nursing, National Certification Corporation (NCC) examination. Elements of the examination are discussed, followed by a review of the content. The major components include pregnancy disease processes, maternal and fetal complications, and postpartum and neonatal assessments. Practice questions are integrated throughout the presentation.
The purpose of this course is to assist participants to prepare to take the NCC Maternal-Newborn Certification exam or to refresh and update knowledge of maternal newborn nursing.
Licensed Nurses: Upstate AHEC is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by The South Carolina Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Upon successful completion of this program, attendees will receive 13.0 contact hours.
Successful completion of the program requires attendance for at least 90 percent of the course and a completed evaluation by the participant.
